Selection of Drainage Gully Covers
Once the load-bearing class specified in ③ has been determined, an appropriate cover plate can then be selected accordingly.
As manufacturers, we typically provide cover plates that are tailored to the drainage capacity of various trench systems. However, since project conditions vary, the selection should primarily be based on the following considerations:
1. The cover plate’s drainage capacity.
2. The cover plate’s corrosion resistance.
3. The cover plate’s user-friendly design requirements.
● In summary, the cover plate’s drainage capacity and corrosion resistance are mainly determined by the aperture size and material of the cover plate itself, making these factors relatively straightforward to select.
Detail Drawing of Drainage Channel Works
To meet the various load-bearing requirements for drainage channels as specified in ③, the following design and installation guidelines should be followed:
● Select an appropriate cover plate type.
● Choose a suitable channel configuration and dimensions, taking into account edge protection requirements, among others.
● Use concrete with a strength grade of C25 or higher for the foundation.
We have compiled schematic detail drawings for the installation of selected products, which we hope will be helpful. Based on issues encountered in numerous projects over several years of marketing drainage channel products, we strongly recommend that, for any drainage channel project with load-bearing requirements, cement concrete is indispensable. Furthermore, depending on soil conditions, while ensuring that the minimum strength requirements for the channel structure are met, as illustrated, the volume of cement concrete used should be increased!
